The selection bar

Every partner clears the same bar.

Every applicant — whether they apply at apply.fms.studio or arrive by exclusive invitation — goes through the same AI-scored application review before joining, and is held to the same continuous quality scoring on every lead afterward. Here's how — and why it matters when you book through FMS Studio.

The process

From application to live — one bar for everyone.

Every applicant goes through the same sequence. We don't shortcut it. We don't grandfather. The same standard applied to the first partner applies to the latest.

01 · Application
A short, structured application — or an exclusive invitation.
Every partner starts the same way: a 3-step application at apply.fms.studio, or an invitation to apply. We capture the business, the services offered, the market served, and how the business wins and keeps clients.
  • Business, industry, and service area
  • The services offered and typical project profile
  • How the business currently earns and retains customers
02 · AI-scored review
Each application is scored on quality signals.
An AI review scores the application against the signals that predict a strong partner — clarity and consistency of the offer, service focus, and fit for the leads we route. Weak or spam applications are filtered here.
  • Offer clarity and service focus
  • Fit for the leads FMS routes in that industry and market
  • Completeness and legitimacy of the application
03 · Decision
A decision within about two business days.
Applicants are accepted, waitlisted, or asked to revise and resubmit. The bar is deliberately selective — lead quality compounds against partner quality, so we grow only as fast as the bar allows.
  • Accepted, waitlisted, or asked to revise
  • Decision typically within 2 business days
  • Waitlisted and revise paths can reapply
04 · Continuous quality scoring
The bar doesn't stop at acceptance.
After a partner joins, every lead they receive is scored — response speed, reported outcome, and the lead's post-meeting rating — and the quality score is recalculated monthly within the partner's industry. A sustained drop triggers a review.
  • Time-to-first-response on every lead
  • Reported outcome (won / pending / lost)
  • Post-meeting lead rating
  • Monthly score recalculation, normalized by industry
Common reasons

What ends an application early.

Some applications don't make it past review. These are the common reasons — they exist to keep the bar high for the partners who do clear it.

Incomplete or low-effort applications
An industry or service FMS doesn’t currently route leads for
A market or service area outside the network’s coverage
An offer that doesn’t fit the leads FMS sends
Applications that fall below the AI review’s quality bar
Misrepresentation or inconsistencies in the application
After acceptance

How we keep quality high after you're in.

Every booking feeds the network's quality signal. Partners who slip get nudges. Partners who slip twice get a quality pause. Partners who slip a third time are removed.

Common questions

Things people ask about the bar.

Why is the bar this selective — isn't more partners better?

Not on its own. Lead quality compounds against partner quality. A weak partner generates bad reviews, slow responses, and wasted lead spend — all of which drag down the network's signal. We grow only as fast as the bar allows.

How is the AI quality score calculated?

Three signal families: response speed (avg minutes to first reply), outcome quality (% of meetings ending in won/pending after the typical sales cycle for the niche), and lead-side rating (post-meeting survey). Each is normalized monthly within the partner's industry so a plumber isn't compared to a CPA.

Can an applicant who wasn't accepted reapply?

Yes — after 12 months, and only if the issue behind the earlier decision has been resolved. A reapplication is reviewed from scratch.

What happens if a partner's score drops?

A sustained drop triggers a review with the partner and an improvement window. If it continues, the partner stops receiving new leads until the issue is resolved, and repeated pauses can lead to removal.

Does paying more move you up in the directory?

No. Tier-paid placements are clearly labeled "sponsored." The unsponsored ranking is fixed by quality score and proximity to the lead. We don't sell ranking — partners would be the first to leave a network that did.

Will I get spammed with calls after I book?

No. Your booking goes to one partner you chose. We never sell or share your contact data with anyone else, never add you to a marketing list, and the partner only receives the information you choose to share.

What if the partner doesn't show up or is unprofessional?

Report it in the post-meeting feedback. We credit any applicable no-show fee back to you, re-match you with a different partner at no cost, and the partner's standing is immediately adjusted.

Is there any cost to me as a lead?

No. Browsing, searching, and booking a consultation is always free. You only ever pay the partner for work you agree to, directly with them, on their terms — never through us.
